The beginning of the year marks the beginning of the dreaded fitness regime.
Post-Christmas and New Year podge still won’t budge and over-indulgence just seems like second nature! But with the summer months looming, lounging on the sofa and scoffing chocolates and pizza is just no longer acceptable. Or is it? Here at The Student Magazine we’ve come up with the new and improved Student ‘T.V’ workout to be done from the comfort of your own front room. Enjoy!
1: TV Show: Family Guy
Task: To endure your exercise every time there is a Family Guy ‘Flashback’.
Exercise: Press-ups x 20 (On average there are 10 flashbacks an episode, that’s 200 press-ups!!)
2. TV Show: Keeping Up with the Kardashians
Task: Exercise must be done when any member of the Kardashian clan shortens a word, eg. ‘convo’.
Exercise: Squats x 10 - For a tush to rival Kim Kardashian’s it’s time to feel the burn!
3: TV Show: The Only Way is Essex
Task: Complete your required exercise every time a cast member says, ‘Shuuut Up!’ or ‘Reem’.
Exercise: Tricep Dips x 10 – Sit on your sofa with your hands next to your hips. Move your hips in front of the sofa (so you're no longer sitting but almost touching) and bend elbows to 90 degrees. Straighten your arms as you push back up, taking care not to lock your elbows. Girls – wear 6 inch heels for overall Essex effect!
4: TV Show: Top Gear
Task: When the word ‘car’ is mentioned complete your exercise (I have a feeling this could be quite often!)
Exercise: Sit-ups x 20 – guaranteed to give you abs of steel!
